Years ago, an eight-year-old boy attended an evening worship service at a church in the Midwest. While voices sang and instruments played, God began to speak to the young lad. As the service ended and the family headed home, the young boy was heavy-hearted. From the back seat of the car, the son leaned forward and whispered to his dad that he needed to talk with him. When they got home, the son told his father he felt God was speaking to him. There was something he was supposed to do, but the son didn’t quite understand it all. The father went with the son to his room and shared the Good News of the Gospel with him. The son prayed to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on the edge of his bed that night.
Be encouraged: What you do as a worship leader each week matters. You never know what extraordinary activities God is doing in what appears to be an ordinary worship service. Be faithful in pointing people to Christ in every worship service you lead. Be prayed up and expect God to do amazing things each week. Only He can do the extraordinary with the ordinary…
